 1) I think the tour to the Technology Sandbox was absolutely fantastic. It is so awesome that the university offers its education students with modern technology like the 3d printer which would usually exclusive to only STEM majors. I think this is a unique way to keep the students in touch with modern technology and can possibly teach us how to use this tools in the modern day classroom. I personally plan on using it way more now that I know we have access to such a study space.

2) My parents personally did not let me use technology until I entered the 6th grade; that was mostly because the school I was attending required all students to use ipads for inclass assignments so it was a natural progression. I was a part of the first cohort of our generation that started using social media platforms for recreational use. This included Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and twitter. I did not really know about professional programs or websites such as Blogger and Pinterest until I got to the collegiate level. The most useful social media platform I have at the moment would be LinkedIn as it has helped me expand my professional network in my field.

3) I did most of my public education in Flagler county which is located between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. I was fortunate enough to begin my middle school and high school career during the exact time the county began issuing iPad and MacBook Airs to most of the students. I would consider us technology wealthy, but a lot of students had a hard adjustment period because surprisingly a lot of homes within the area did not have access to WIFI, which was a huge battle for the school district to deal with.
